As the days get longer and the weather closes in, it's typical for Seven Champions to escape the mine, head to the surface and spend some time at our local inn, The Moll & Lasses. It was on one of these pub visits that one of the younger and more technically advanced Champs - whose ability stretches beyond swinging a treacle pick - revamped this, our new website. Now live after the rats nibbled through the original floppy disc with all the information on, we hope you like what you see!
Apart from seeking out new seams of treacle the Seven Champions are still out dancing from time to time. Most recently, we were out in the Sussex town of Lewes for the annual day of dance. Among the great teams we danced with were the Knots of May, Broadwood Morris, Magog Morris, and our venerable chums, Brighton Morris Men. A new venue for this year, The Snowdrop, was very well received by the Champs, many of whom had worked up a thirst having processed from the centre of town and were without ale for several minutes.
For dedicated Champs spotters, you'll be pleased to know that we don't stop for the winter. Indeed, we love the cold, the drizzle, the frost and other inclement weather. As such, we will down tools and be out celebrating the onset of cooler months in Canterbury on Saturday November 22nd alongside our good friends, Oyster Morris. We hope to see you there.
